...A HIGH WIND WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR TONIGHT AND THURSDAY FOR PARTS
OF WESTERN WASHINGTON...
.A STRENGTHENING PACIFIC LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OFF THE OREGON COAST IS
EXPECTED TO SWING NORTHEAST INTO VANCOUVER ISLAND THURSDAY MORNING.
THE ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT WILL REACH THE COAST AROUND MIDNIGHT THEN
CROSS THE INTERIOR AROUND SUNRISE THURSDAY. THE POTENTIAL FOR
DAMAGING WINDS IN ANY AREA IS STRONGLY DEPENDENT UPON THE PRECISE
TRACK AND STRENGTH OF THE LOW...AND THIS IS NOT YET CERTAIN.
ADMIRALTY INLET AREA-NORTHWEST INTERIOR-SAN JUAN COUNTY-
WESTERN WHATCOM COUNTY-
940 AM PST WED NOV 17 2004
...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE CONTINUES A HIGH WIND
WATCH FROM LATE TONIGHT TO THURSDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE NORTH
INTERIOR...
SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 65 MPH ARE POSSIBLE LATE
TONIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING.
A HIGH WIND WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE...BUT NOT CERTAIN...
FOR DAMAGING WINDS. HIGH WINDS CAN TOPPLE TREES...DOWN POWER
LINES...AND DAMAGE SOME STRUCTURES.
So if Phyllis, Vegasbaby or anybody else you know from the upper left hand corner should be AWOL for a day or two, It is because the trees knocked the power off. We'll be back. Of course every time they call for one of these storms, It usually hits somewhere else. We'll be ready anyway.
