GADS! I forgot what all it takes to get your computer set up the way you like it. The problem I am having right now is my Bose speakers are not working!! GRRRR
I still do not have my address book imported from gmail into Outlook, but soon I hope. I also do not have every one saved in my favorites. Since I blogwalk from my FAVORITES and not my side bar, I am sorry to say that it is not up to date. If I am neglecting you, let me know!!!
I LOVE this monitor though. It is HUGE! a 24" viewing surface! I can almost open 2 pages side by side!! Great when I am working on a spreadsheet.

I like your new look, Mary Lou, and I can see you are busy with a play. I love crocheted hat.
I'm waning in my blog enthusiasm, but these past few days I've just been waning period.
I'll visit more often and thanks for dropping by.
Oh, and I forgot to say that I'm so happy for your new 24" screen. I just got one at work and haven't really even used it much. Sure makes a difference, doesn't it?
Why do you even bother with Outlook? Just use Gmail for your address book and email client. Gmail is much better than Outlook. There is a applet you can download that will allow you to designate it as the default email application.
And as for "favorites" for blogwalking, there are better ways of doing that also. I suggest either Google Reader or Bloglines. Just start an account and put all your blogs in it. It's no more work to set up than adding to favorites.
And anyway "favorites?" Isn't that Internet Explorer terminology?
Take a picture of your new puter for us. It will all come together soon, I have faith!
I always like setting up a new computer, it's so nice and empty! It doesn't take long to fill it up, though.
WAAAAH!!! ME WANT ONE TOO!
Are you using the right socket for your speakers? There are usually several sockets in a row, Line IN, MIC Headphones and Speakers which are usually the green socket. Good Luck Google found this forum which might be useful http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080111031512AAsT3wN
Are you using Vista on this one? If so, how do you like it?
This laptop I'm using while on the road has Vista and I am not a fan of it. Probably it would be better to get a copy of Vista for my desktop machine at home rather than moving back and forth between them. I'd have to learn how to use it, then.
As to monitors, I love my 19" one on the desktop and still remember how surprised I was how much better everything looked on it. I had been using a 15" LCD monitor before so the only difference really was it's size. 24" would be real impressive!
So far, Vista is ok, but it has changed everything from XP and being a creature of habit......
It is always great to get a new computer and setting it up to the way you are used to, is definitely a frigging pain.
