white christmas!

Sherry took these pictures and gave them to me, because she knew I was so sick in bed, I have had Brochitis, and just slept for two weeks. I even cancelled dinner for Christmas. I didi not want the kids driving that far in this stuff.

I had over 12" in my yard, Which is extremely RARE for us here in Puget Sound. WE did get cold too. down into the teens F. Then up to the high 20's during the day. BRRRRRR we did not lose power though. That is a good thing.

I have not been out of the house in ages and I am getting real cabin fever!! Bob was completely snowed in, so I went and got himf for Christmas Eve and we just sat quietly enjoying the silence of the night,. I like to spend Christmas Eve in a quiet manner. A rare one indeed around here.

It started raining today, so most of the snow is now slush and ice on the roads.

Tim's first christmas out of prison, and he was snowed in too! Ah well, I cancelled the prime rib dinner and said I would have it when everybody was feeling well.

right now I could not stand to smell it cooking! and I make suce a great one too.

Time for more drugs. I am alive and posting...

That was really an old fashioned white Christmas Mary Lou. I hope you are feeling much better after all those weeks. Have a good time, get better soon, and take care.

Sorry that you were so sick over the holidays, and snowed in too! Hope you are feeling better now.

We got about 2 feet of snow by Christmas. Yesterday it started raining and the snow is slowly melting. Some areas are getting flooding though. We were busy yesterday getting the heavy wet snow off our patio cover because the wood was bending. It's supposed to snow more later this week. Yuck!!

Take care.

Last night around 6 p.m. a friend drove over to bring me homemade chili. She got stuck four feet into my little side road that leads up to my driveway and had to be towed out. We walked the chili up to the house and I thoroughly enjoyed it last night.
I won't be outta' here for a few more days. Grrr. Talk about 'cabin fever',I'm talkin' way... too much to my cats. lol, lol!
p.s. my friend made it home and I'm sure I won't see the whites of her eyes again until spring.

Glad you are feeling better and yes, we had a white Christmas too and bah humbug. Although once a person is sick, that kind of goes without saying. That flu or whatever it is has knocked a lot of people for a loop. I think I got it early in December but started zicam and for me that kind of subdues things. I still had 3 days of sounding like Larry King. My daughter though was laid flat by it. Nothing to take lightly.

We had a very quiet Christmas also due to the weather and i had to figure out a dinner to fix on the spur of the moment but it was all fine.

Happy New Year and a belated merry Christmas

Oh my goodness! Snowmen to be built and you're sick in bed; that sucks! I love the photos that Sherry took though. Snow is beautiful when it's not in my front yard. :-)

Wow! Those are pretty pics. Love the family of snow people. We haven't had a good snowfall here...yet.

Hope you're feeling better.

Oh, my! I've been thinking of you and your sister when the Weather Channel is on and tells about your area.
I hope you're feeling better soon, Mary Lou.

Those are amazing photos. Definitely not the way I usually imagine Whidbey Island.

Sure hope you are feeling better and up for that prime rib soon.

I'm so sorry you've been sick Mary Lou....I hope you're starting to feel better now. So many people have been sick for the holidays. I've just caught something from my grandkids' visit. I'm sucking on sinc and taking cough medicine. A lot of Xmas dinners were delayed this year....

Beautiful pics....We had a lot of snow here for Xmas too, but then it rained and melted over a couple of days after Xmas, which caused a lot of flooding for some people here in the Midwest.

Feel better....Happy New Year sweetie....

I too am glad that you are feeling better. Two weeks of that is way too long! It's a good thing that you had enough food in the house and your power stayed on all through it. We are finally pretty much finished with the snow except where it was piled up. That was enough that we now don't need any more for at least ten years!
